Diablo IV Open Beta

Diablo IV Open Beta Dates Set for March 2023

Blizzard is almost ready to release Diablo IV. Before that, though, comes the beta test. According to an announcement from developer Blizzard Entertainment, the Diablo IV open beta is set to begin in March 2023. Players interested in seeing the game and playing a pre-release build will be able to access it during a scheduled “Open Beta and Early Access Weekend” on PC and consoles. The events are scheduled to take place from March 17 to 19, 2023, and March 24 to 26, 2023.

That said, only one weekend is open to the general public. The first Diablo IV open beta weekend (on March 17-19) is exclusive to players who have pre-ordered the game. The following weekend (on March 24-26) is open to all. The test will take place on Windows PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

Blizzard’s post details what players will be able to access during the beta. The pre-release beta build of Diablo IV will include samples of campaign play, namely the Prologue chapter and the entirety of Act 1 of the story. This takes place in the game’s first playable zone, called the Fractured Peaks. Players will be able to sample combat, questing, and dungeons freely. There is a limit on how much they’ll be able to progress, though. The Diablo IV open beta level cap is set at Level 25. Players who hit that cap won’t be able to level further, but they will be allowed to play until the end of the open beta period.

To access the Diablo IV open beta, players will need a Battle.net account. Those with an early access code from a pre-order will be able to redeem it from this page. Upon redeeming the early access code, PC players will have their accounts flagged for access immediately. Console players will receive a storefront-specific code via the email associated with their Battle.net account. They can then redeem the code via the appropriate console storefront, like the PSN or Xbox Store..

Diablo IV is in development and will release on June 6, 2023 across PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC.
