Just over one year after launching its new Mana series mobile game worldwide, Square Enix announced Echoes of Mana is no more. It shuttered the title on May 15, 2023. It shared a final piece of art of Mousseline the faerie with the words “thank you” when it did. It didn’t cite a reason for the closure beyond general issues “maintaining the app experience.” The game launched at the end of April 2023. Square Enix announced it would end the mobile game’s service in February 2023.

Echoes of Mana was an action-RPG that played in the same fashion as mainline Mana games. Players would control their character and run through maps, attacking enemies and building up combos. In addition to original characters like Quilto and Mousseline, people could play as existing characters from Adventures of Mana, Secret of Mana, and Trials of Mana.
Echoes of Mana was available on mobile devices worldwide, however Square Enix ended its service on May 15, 2023.
