Jusant Is a New Game Revealed by Dontnod

A new game from Life is Strange developers Dontnod was revealed at the Xbox Showcase 2023. Named Jusant, it stars a young boy and his tiny animal friend traversing a mountain. According to a follow-up tweet from Dontnod themselves, it’s designed to offer “meditative vibes”.

Here’s the first trailer.

Jusant appears to be a game heavily focused on exploration and climbing mechanics, with much of the trailer focused on the boy climbing cliff faces and ladders. There is also a brief glimpse of a plant growth mechanic, with the boy riding a growing stem up a wall. It also appears that the boy can interact with his animal friend when they’re not climbing. Being a Dontnod game, it almost certainly has a narrative focus too.

Jusant is set to release in fall 2023 for PC, Xbox Series X/S and PS5.
