Which Final Fantasy Games Are Steam Deck Verified?

Every mainline Final Fantasy game is available on Steam. This makes it the only system where you can play the entire series in one place. In addition, most games in the Final Fantasy series are verified playable to some degree on the Steam Deck handheld system.

However, this doesn’t mean every game is Verified. Only nine of the 27 Final Fantasy games listed on Steam are Verified, however another 11 have been rated Playable. This means that while they may have some issues, the experience should be reasonably stable.

Here are all the Verified Final Fantasy games for Steam Deck.

  • Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster
  • Final Fantasy II Pixel Remaster
  • Final Fantasy III Pixel Remaster
  • Final Fantasy IV Pixel Remaster
  • Final Fantasy VII Remake Integrade
  • Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion
  • Final Fantasy VIII Remastered
  • Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age
  • Final Fantasy XV

Here are all the Playable Final Fantasy games for Steam Deck.

  • Final Fantasy III (3D)
  • Final Fantasy IV (3D)
  • Final Fantasy IV: The After Years
  • Final Fantasy V Pixel Remaster
  • Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster
  • Final Fantasy VII (1997)
  • Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster
  • Final Fantasy XIII
  • Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII
  • Final Fantasy XIV
  • World of Final Fantasy

Only six Final Fantasy games are listed as Unsupported on the Steam Deck.

  • Final Fantasy VIII (this is a separate listing from the Remastered version)
  • Final Fantasy IX
  • Final Fantasy XIII-2
  • Final Fantasy Type-0 HD
  • Dissidia Final Fantasy NT
  • Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin

Final Fantasy XI is an odd case. While it is available through Steam, its store page doesn’t list a status for Steam Deck. From the mixed reports online, it’s likely to be playable, but may require some additional setup to get working.
