Star Ocean The Second Story R Heads to Switch in November

During the June 2023 Nintendo Direct, Square Enix’s Star Ocean The Second Story remake appeared. It confirmed that it will again let people choose to follow the story of Claude or Rena again. Star Ocean The Second Story R also already has a release date. We’ll see it on November 2, 2023. Update: Following the presentation, Square Enix confirmed it will come to the PS4, PS5, and PC as well.

A first trailer for the game also appeared. Here’s how the remake looks.

We already had some idea this was on the way. Ahead of its announcement, Square Enix’s support site temporarily showed a banner for it. However, it was swiftly removed.

The Star Ocean: The Second Story R release date is November 2, 2023, and it will come to the Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC. Versions of the game are also available on the PlayStation, PSP, PS3, PS4, and Vita.
