Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories Cards Are Real

Square Enix will release a set of playing cards that look just like the cards you use in Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories. Not only are the designs on the faces of the cards and colors the same, but they even retains the jagged crown-like tops. The cards cost 3,080 JPY ($21.55) and will ship out on September 30, 2023.

Square Enix faithfully recreated the cards’ appearances from the game. That means that the colors of the borders depend on what the card is depicting. For example, weapons are red and worlds are a light blue. However, in a single suit, you might have around eight different colors. As well, the suit patterns are really small in the corners of the cards.

That’s if you plan on actually playing with the cards, though. Because of the jagged designs, they might be difficult to shuffle. Square Enix might have designed these cards with the expectation that they’re a novelty collector’s item, rather than an actual deck that people would play with.

The Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories cards from Square Enix will come out on September 30, 2023. They’re only in the Japanese store. Kingdom Hearts merchandise that you can buy in North America include items like Roxas’s ring.
