How to Get the New Hairstyles in FFXIV Patch 6.45

Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.45 is here, offering players new content and items to collect. For those who like to customize their avatar to the fullest, you might be wondering about the new hairstyles in FFXIV Patch 6.45. Thankfully, there is a single new hairstyle to collect.

That hairstyle is none other than the Ambitious Ends hairstyle, which gives the player a cute shorter cut that has some nice ends (as the name states). It isn’t a perfectly clean and smooth hairstyle, which is the point. It gives the avatar a nice wavy and stylish look. It is available to all players, regardless of gender or race.

How to Unlock the Ambitious Ends Hairstyle in FFXIV 6.45

If you want to unlock the new Ambitious Ends hairstyle in FFXIV Patch 6.45, there is only one way to do it right now. You’ll have to go through the relatively new Mount Rokkon variant dungeon if you would like to earn it.

To get it, head to Trisassant in Old Sharlayan (X:12.0, Y:13.3) and speak with the NPC trader there. You’ll be able to turn in six Rokkon Potsherds to exchange for this new hairstyle. You can then use the item in your inventory to unlock the option to apply this hairstyle at any Aesthetician in the game.

The only problem with this is earning some Rokkon Potsherds. To get these, you’ll need to run Mount Rokkon a couple of times. You get three Potsherds currency for every completed run you do of Mount Rokkon. As such, you’ll need to do it twice in a row to get enough for this new hairstyle.

My recommendation is to grab a couple of friends who you can complete this variant dungeon with. This can speed up the entire process and make it easier to earn these Potsherds in no time.

Final Fantasy XIV is available on PS4, PS5, and PC.
