How to Unlock The Cloud Deck in FFXIV

The final Trial in “The Sorrow of Werlyt” side questline in Final Fantasy XIV, this The Cloud Deck Trial will not only wrap up the storyline, but also see you face off against Diamond Weapon. However, you will not be able to immediately access this encounter. Instead, you will need to complete an additional quest to unlock this fight. This guide will break down everything you need to know to unlock The Cloud Deck in FFXIV.

How to Unlock The Cloud Deck in FFXIV: Shadowbringers

After completing the Castrum Marinum, you will be able to unlock the final Trial of The Sorrow of Werlyt. This final Trial will allow you to fight the Diamond Weapon, as mentioned previously. In order to unlock The Cloud Deck you will need to speak to the Resistance Officer in The Lochs at X:11.2, Y:22.5 to accept In Memory.” After you’ve completed “In Memory” return to The Lochs and speak to the Resistance Officer at X:11.3, Y:22.5. Pick up the quest “Duty in the Sky with Diamond” to unlock the Cinder Drift.

The requirements for unlocking The Cloud Deck are as follows:

  • Complete “In Memory”
  • Level 80
  • Item Level 495

How to Unlock The Cloud Deck (Extreme) in FFXIV: Shadowbringers

Once you have defeated the Diamond Weapon as part of “The Sorrow of Werlyt” side quest, and wrapped up the story, you can unlock the Extreme version of this Trial. Speak to the Warmachina Fanatic at X:11.6, Y:22.6 and pick up the quest “Weapon of Choice.” Completing this will unlock The Cloud Deck (Extreme).

  • Complete “Weapon of Choice”
  • Level 80
  • Item level 510

These are the rewards you can obtain from The Cloud Deck (Extreme):

  • Diamond Weapon Triple Triad Card
  • (1) Diamond Weapon Specific Weapon
  • Diamond Gwiber Trumpet
  • Diamond Totem
  • 25 Tomestones of Poetics
