KFC x Final Fantasy XIV Event Includes Eat Fried Chicken Emote

An official collaboration between KFC Japan and Final Fantasy XIV will begin on October 4, 2023. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the game, a Collaboration Set will be available at KFC locations in Japan. The set will include both real KFC products, one of a few options of KFC x FFXIV collaboration stickers, and an in-game item code for the new “eat fried chicken” emote. The Collaboration Set will cost 1,240 yen ($8.36). Check out the official web page for the campaign.

In terms of food, the FFXIV Collaboration Set comes with one Japanese-style chicken cutlet burger, one original chicken, a small french fry, and a medium drink. Of the variants of collaboration stickers you can receive, two of them feature a Chocobo and Moogle dressed in KFC uniform. As for the FFXIV KFC emote, here’s another look at how it appears in-game.

The FFXIV Collaboration Set comes in limited quantities, and once it’s gone, it will not be sold again. Considering how quickly the FFXIV potato chips sold out, this could also sell out.

This partnership was hinted at earlier this month on the KFC Japan official social media account. Also, a statue of a Black Mage Colonel Sanders was on display at the FFXIV Tokyo Game Show 2023 booth.

The KFC x Final Fantasy XIV collaboration will begin on October 4, 2023. Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, and PC.
