We saw the wireless NES Controllers for Switch the West is getting, and Japan is getting something similar except they’re getting the Family Computer Controllers based on the original Famicom controllers.

The idea of making the wireless NES and Famicom Controllers was to have them go with the 20 classic Nintendo titles that come with the Nintendo Online subscription.

Similar to its Western counterpart, the Famicom Controller will only be available for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers in Japan, and it’ll be available for 5,980 yen plus tax.

Orders for the Famicom Controllers will go live starting September 19, 2018. Nintendo Switch Online launches on September 18, 2018.
