Sunday X Magazine Nettou! Dream Nine takes characters from rival manga magazines Shonen Sunday and Weekly Shonen and throws them into a baseball battle on the DS. The mix of characters almost makes sense since the Shonen Sunday side has characters from baseball manga like Major, Ace of Diamond, Touch, and Star of Giants. On the Weekly Shonen side things get strange since Konami drafted characters from popular manga that have nothing to do with baseball like Hajime no Ippo, Tensai Bakabon, and Detective Conan (aka Case Closed). Yes, you get to put little Jimmy Kudo on a team in Sunday X Magazine Nettou! Dream Nine. A story mode will explain how the characters are linked together.

Fans of Jump Ultimate Stars and Power Pros baseball games might want to keep an eye out for Sunday X Magazine Nettou! Dream Nine in the future. While crossovers are getting more common seeing an eclectic blend of licensed manga characters in a baseball game is still unusual.
