Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls has been delayed again. Initially, XSEED Games said people could expect to see it on PCs on May 29, 2019. However, an issue with the IP initially delayed it until Summer 2019. Now, the company confirmed on Twitter that its new launch window is early 2020, due to a licensing issue.
Here is XSEED’s full statement on Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls, which noted a licensing issue that halted its May 29, 2019 launch is still an issue until 2020.
Unfortunately, due to the unforeseen IP licensing issue previously mentioned, Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls will not be able to launch on PC this year. Discussions with the licensor have concluded that this title cannot launch until early next year.
We too are eager to get this game out, and appreciate our fans’ patience with this delay. We look forward to sharing more specifics as soon as we can.
In the meantime, the Steam product page for Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls is open. It notes that the game will be playable in English and Japanese. Also, it will have Achievements, cloud save support, and Trading Cards.
Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls is immediately available for the PlayStation 3. (It was also, at one point, available on mobile devices.) Its PC port will appear in early 2020.
