Marvel have two major superhero movies releasing over the next two months: Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger, both of which, along with the Iron Man movies, will culminate in an Avengers movie sometime down the line.

Just as they did for Iron Man, Sega are developing movie tie-in games for both Thor and Captain America. The latter, titled Captain America: Super Soldier, has what Sega say is “free-flowing combat,” based on performing combos and fighting off multiple enemies. You can also use Captain America’s shield as it was intended: by throwing it, using it as a melee weapon, or using it to block attacks and reflect enemy fire.

Captain America: Super Soldier also sounds like it involves some heavy platforming. You’ll have to scale walls and ledges, vault from poles to cross environmental hazards and discover alternate paths to completing missions. The game isn’t entirely based on the movie, but is an original story set in the movie universe.

Sega have Super Soldier planned for a July 19th release. Since the game is on four different platforms, here’s a glimpse of how each one looks:

Captain America – 360

Captain America – PS3

Captain America Wii

Captain America DS
