Accel World VS Sword Art Online Adds Major DLC And Some Free Content On July 7

Bandai Namco is releasing a major DLC for Accel World VS Sword Art Online that adds new playable characters, dungeons, PvP quests, weapons, and more as well as a free version update on July 7 in Japan. [Thanks, Game Jouhou.]

The 2,000 yen major DLC called “Castaway from a Different World” has a story about Sugou Nobuyuki, also known as “Fairy King Oberon,” who appears in the world and you’ll need to team up to take him on.


In addition to Oberon as a new playable character, the DLC adds Alice and Eugeo as additional playable characters.



The “Labyrinth of Infinite Change” is a new randomly-generated dungeon that you can play with up to 16 others on multiplayer.



The “Assault Mission” is a new PvP quest where you’ll go up against others in defeating bosses.

To summarize, Castaway from a Different World adds Eugeo, Alice, Oberon as playable characters. It features three side episodes called “Childhood ; Childhood Friend,” “Cavalier ; Knight,” and “Significant ; Beloved.”


It add the new Assault Mission PvP quest that requires you to clear floors 10, 20, and 30 of the Labyrinth of Infinite Change. There are also two kinds of Extra Quests as well as Rank 11 and 12 weapons.


The game’s version 2.00 update increases the level cap from 100 to 200 and will allow players who don’t have the Season Pass or the 2,000 DLC to check out parts of the new infinity dungeon and Assault Mission.



And finally, a new original character named Persona Vabel will be available as well.


Accel World VS Sword Art Online’s major DLC and 2.00 update both launch in Japan on July 7, 2017 which is also the day the game releases in North America and Europe for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
