Ace Combat Infinity, a free to play take on the Ace Combat series, is scheduled to come out later this year on PlayStation 3. Namco Bandai will give pilots in Japan a chance to try the game first with an open beta test scheduled to start on November 7.

The Ace Combat Infinity beta will take up about 2 GB of hard drive space and end on November 13. Details on how to join the beta will be announced later on. Instead of a standard deathmatch mode, Ace Combat Infinity has an online co-op mode where two teams compete to shoot down the most planes. The video above has a look at that mode.
