The physical version of AI: The Somnium Files was expected to release in North America on September 17 alongside the digital versions, but it has been delayed by a few days to September 24, 2019.
According to Spike Chunsoft, the delay was due to the increased demand and manufacturing delays. It was only announced for PS4 and Switch versions in North America, and the digital releases will continue as planned.

Kaname Date of the Metropolitan Police Department arrives on the scene. He recognizes the woman. Suddenly, he hears a noise from inside the merry-go-round.
He breaks into the merry-go-round’s central column to find a young girl. And in her hands, she grips a bloody ice pick…
AI: The Somnium Files releases for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on September 17, 2019. The PS4 and Switch’s physical versions release on September 24, 2019 in North America. The game’s physical version releases in Japan on September 19 and in Europe on September 20, 2019.
