Two FBI agents are investigating Alan Wake on the trail of the events from the first game. One of these agents, Agent Anderson, appears to be a playable character, as she walks through a house before being attacked by one of the game’s new enemies. These new enemies appear to be taking Alan Wake 2 in a new folk horror direction, as theyre all wearing deer masks. Also, Remedy writer Sam Lake makes an appearance as Anderson’s partner.

This is the first time we’ve gotten to see Alan Wake 2 since its reveal teaser at the Game Awards in 2021.

The Alan Wake 2 release date is October 17, 2023. It will be released for PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.
