Alhaitham Favors EM Artifacts in Genshin Impact

In a way, Alhaitham is like every other Dendro character in Genshin Impact when it comes to what Artifacts you want to put on him. Generally speaking, if you wish to run a Dendro character, you want a 4-piece Deepwood Memories set in order to make the most of its effect. However, this effect takes place even if the character with the set is inactive. So choosing Artifacts for Alhaitham heavily depends on who you run with him.

When you choose your Artifacts for Alhaitham, you should prioritize: Dendro DMG, Elemental Mastery, and the usual Crit stats. You can honestly put everything into Elemental Mastery, too. This is because Alhaitham’s Dendro DMG increases every time you Ascend him. So which sets should you try to go for? Luckily, both of his best-in-slot Artifacts are available in the same Domain.

The best Artifacts for Alhaitham are:

4 PC Deepwood Memories

As mentioned earlier, you do not necessarily need Deepwood Memories on Alhaitham himself. You can even put it on a non-Dendro support if you wish. When it’s the 4-piece set, using Elemental Skills or Bursts will decrease the opponent’s Dendro RES by 40%. Since Alhaitham’s kit makes heavy use of Dendro DMG, this is always going to be a major boon.

4 PC Gilded Dreams

Dendro is a fantastic element when it comes to elemental reactions. So if you have someone in your line-up running Deepwood Memories, you can put Gilded Dreams on Alhaitham. In fact, Alhaitham’s best Artifact set is Gilded Dreams. You will have to think about what elements you put in your line-up because of Gilded Dreams’s buff. Personally, I recommend stacking Alhaitham with non-Dendro characters to boost his Elemental Mastery instead of his ATK.

2 PC Deepwood Memories + 2 PC EM

If you cannot gather 4 pieces of the aforementioned two Artifact sets, you can give Alhaitham a chimera set instead. You can probably get away with two different Elemental Mastery sets (for example, 2 Wanderer’s Troupes and 2 Gilded Dreams). However, I find that having that Dendro DMG boost from Deepwood Memories gives the best results.

In a manner of speaking, Alhaitham is a fairly easy character to build. He simply needs Elemental Mastery because he fully depends on a sub-DPS to help him with reactions or to buy time for his long Skill CD. You can build him as a solo Dendro DPS. However, even if you choose that path, the Artifacts you would put on him are the same as if you build an EM-focused Alhaitham. There are literally no wrong answers so long as you farm the Spire of Solitary Enlightenment Domain.

Genshin Impact is readily available on PS4, PS5, Windows PC, and mobile devices.
