Sha Lan is a bit of a challenge to recruit in Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave since she isn’t just locked behind Anatolia’s Paralogue, a high Renown level, and a level three Support stat, as you need to give correct answers to a quiz too. Since she wants to keep traveling, she’ll test your knowledge. If you’ve been paying attention to the map and listening to the optional dialogue from villagers in towns you can Talk to, you should be okay. However, it is a short, three-question quiz, so it’s equally easy to power through.

Editor’s Note: There will be spoilers for the answers to the quiz to recruit Sha Lan in Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave below.

Once you finish the Anatolia Paralogue quest “Queen of the Erased,” Sha Lan will be able to recruit in Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave after giving the correct answers to her quiz. She’ll be hanging around Dagsion after this happens and is pretty easy to find. (If you haven’t already gotten her to level three support, she really likes coffee!)

Here are her three questions and the three correct answers to them:

  1. “I’d love to see Alecto someday. Do you know where it’s located?”
    • “Guess Saramis.”
  2. “The weapons are even named after the town itself. Can you tell me what the town is called?”
    • “Guess Da Mina.”
  3. “Do you know of Bran Narrows in the east? Do you know what’s on that reef? It’s huge, and there are stories of treasure hidden within. What is it?”
    • “Guess a grounded ship.”

Here is a gallery of screenshots I took of those correct answers as well, to verify them.

Sha Lan is primarily a support character who works best in a white mage sort of role. This is due to her Personal Ability being Cooler Heads, which lets her use the Draw Back Combat Art and then follow that with an Assist Magic spell like Heal. She also gets a Watchfulness one that increases the speed of allies directly next to her and can be quite handy if she’s a Bishop with White-Magic Seeker that doubles her white magic usage.

Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is available on the Switch 2.
