All Inscription Photograph Locations in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

Your first job after obtaining the camera in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is to photograph four inscriptions around the Vatican. This guide covers the location of each inscription from the moment you exit the post office, as well as how to solve a Mystery along the way.

How to find every inscription in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

Before we begin, make sure to photograph the inscriptions closely and with the entire design within the shot. If Indy comments that you need to find a different angle, you’ll need to zoom in or out. I also recommend turning on Objective Location Markers under the “Adventure Experience” tab in the Options menu.

Exit the Post Office, then turn right and walk down the street past the large open doors. Next, enter the gate labeled “Mvsei Vaticani,” shown in the screenshot above.

The first inscription is in these museum gardens at the very back of the area. Walk all the way through, past all the painters, and take a photograph of the inscription on the well to the right. It’s next to the scaffolding, which you can climb to take a photo of a brown cat for some easy Adventure Points.

Exit the museum gardens and walk through the large doors into the alley with the motorcar and into the courtyard with the giant fountain. The second inscription is on the right side of the fountain, across from the military vehicles. Be careful of the groups of fascists here; getting too close to them can cause suspicion.

Third Inscription

A colossal Mussolini poster and the foundations of a stage are at the back of the area with the fountain. Walk over there, go behind the stage, and climb the scaffolding to hop onto the balcony. The third inscription is on the right side.

Fourth Inscription

Go to the opposite side of the balcony and knock out the enemy chilling on the scaffolding. Use your whip to climb to the top of the scaffolding, then jump onto the small balcony and through the open window. There’s a quick Mystery to solve here if you need the Adventure Points, but it’s completely optional

House of God Mystery solved in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

Optional: Pick up the note on the Basilica replica to start the House of God Mystery. To solve the Mystery, you need to push the lever left or right to open compartments on either side:

  • Open the compartment on the left and pick up the medal.
  • Push the lever and open the compartment on the right, then place the medal inside.
  • Push the lever a final time to collect a chalice from the left side.
  • Place the chalice on the structure to complete the Mystery!

With the Mystery solved (or ignored), jump out of the open window onto the wooden platform, then turn to your right and use the bullwhip to climb up the roof. The fourth and final Inscription is on your left. Once you’ve taken a photo, return to Antonio to continue the story!

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is available for Xbox Series X/S and PC and will launch on PlayStation 5 in 2025.
