All MW3 Multiplayer Maps

Afghan

The first of the Modern Warfare 2 remastered multiplayer maps in MW3 is none other than the medium arid desert map of Afghan. I am not a huge fan of this smaller map and its messy structure with the destroyed planes and all that.

Derail

This snowy multiplayer map is quite large. If Derail were a bit smaller with the town and surrounding areas, I might like it some more.

Estate

The woodsy mansion area of Estate is huge. However, it’s another map that could use some shrinking. Especially since one half has the elevation advantage over the other team.

Favela All MW3 multiplayer maps Modern Warfare 3

Favela

Favela is a smaller to medium-sized map that features a gorgeous market area brimming with personality but not much else outside of that.

Highrise

This multiplayer map takes place atop some skyscrapers. Highrise offers plenty of vantage spots, which I enjoy for sniping, and is one of the better maps overall.

Invasion

Invasion is a classic competitive map featuring a rundown part of a city with some distinct vantage points. One of my favorites to play on.

Karachi

This medium-sized map is just the right size with a lot of depth in the various buildings you can jump and climb through. This gives some intriguing strategy compared to most maps.

Quarry All MW3 multiplayer maps Modern Warfare 3

Quarry

This map takes place in the middle of a mining area. I’m not a huge fan of the various vantage points here and the weird elevation issues.

Rundown All MW3 multiplayer maps Modern Warfare 3

Rundown

This smaller map looks gorgeous with its South American village vibes, but its structure feels a bit off. It isn’t the most fun to play on.

Rust

This ridiculously small map features the place to grind for XP as you will run into people nonstop here. However, I don’t find that type of gameplay fun so I rarely play here.

Scrapyard All MW3 multiplayer maps Modern Warfare 3

Scrapyard

This map features two main warehouses and scraps of planes scattered throughout. It has some neat variation and great sniper possibilities, so it can be a bit of fun for everyone.

Skidrow All MW3 multiplayer maps Modern Warfare 3

Skidrow

This map takes place in New York City and it has a lot of personality and depth to it. I appreciate the various buildings and outdoor areas, and it’s one of my favorites as well. I especially love it in Domination.

Sub base All MW3 multiplayer maps Modern Warfare 3

Sub Base

This middle map plays pretty well for game modes like Search & Destroy. You have the various submarines you can battle across and the naval base itself. The ocean format looks and feels great for this small to medium map.

Terminal All MW3 multiplayer maps Modern Warfare 3

Terminal

This international airport location looks so bright and interesting. It is one of the best competitive Call of Duty maps ever created, with every part nearly perfected. It is my favorite map in this entire game.

Underpass All MW3 multiplayer maps Modern Warfare 3

Underpass

This rainy South American town has a lot of monotone colors to it with the mud everywhere, but it somehow works. The smaller size holds it back some but it remains a decent map.

Wasteland All MW3 multiplayer maps Modern Warfare 3

Wasteland

This is one of the more problematic maps if you aren’t a sniper. Wasteland has wide open areas and little coverage, making it a sniper shootout. Even the more cramped dugout areas provide little variation for other players, so it remains one of my least favorites.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
