So, this means no returning series from a previous season or a show that is releasing a Season 2, 3, and so on. Here are the best series that I suggest everyone to check out this season:

• Anne Shirley: Yes, this is an adaptation of the acclaimed classic novel, but that gives this a fascinating edge. In addition, the animation looks absolutely stunning with its period piece aesthetic. Only time will tell if it lives up to the potential, but it is certainly worth a look.
• Once Upon a Witch’s Death: The main character witch of this magical series only has a single year left to live before her death. As such, she goes on a journey to stop her death curse. It has lots of potential in the characters, storylines, and tragedies that comes Meg’s way.
• Food for the Soul: P.A. Works always makes some of the best anime in terms of writing. This one evokes some Shirabako vibes in exploring five university girls that love to eat good food. This seems to be a great feel-good anime that will warm your soul.
• The Beginning After the End: If you are looking for a new isekai anime to watch, this is the one this season. It tells the story of a rich and lonely king that has a tragic life, passes away, and finds himself in a new life with everything he always wanted like a family. It is full of action, heart-breaking moments, and solid writing.
• Summer Pockets: This visual novel is one of the most beloved and stunning in recent memory, and it is finally getting an anime adaptation. While it feels more appropriate for the summer with its island romance storyline, you should not miss out on this one at all.
