In Pokemon Legends: Z-A, new Wild Zones gradually open up throughout the city as you play and add to the variety of available Pokemon. These are tied to the campaign. So the first three are pretty much immediately open for business and accessible when the game begins. As you grow in power and progress is made, about two to three open after each main challenge. In the case of the biggest one, Wild Zone 20, it only opens up after you basically clear the game.

To help with planning out your progress, here’s the full list of Pokemon I encountered in the Pokemon Legends: Z-A Wild Zones. I tried to also note ones that I recall being skittish and requiring more care to sneak up on compared to others. Also, if I remembered one only appearing at night, I noted that as well.

Editor’s Note: There will be spoilers for Pokemon Legends: Z-A Wild Zones below.

Note that in all of these locations, there is a chance for an Alpha of an evolved form of some of the Pokémon within to appear. So Trevenant could be in Wild Zone 13. It’s usually predetermined for most of the regions. For example, Wild Zone 16 is always going to have an Alpha Ampharos. The lone male Pyroar in the pride in Wild Zone 17 will always be an Alpha, and there will be an Alpha Mawile on the roof of the building in that area. The only exception is Wild Zone 20, which seems to include random Alphas.

Pokemon Legends: Z-A is available for the Switch and Switch 2.
