Cross Reverie developer Sinxsoft has announced that the alpha demo for the dark JRPG will be releasing at the end of the Summer.
In the dev diary, they also state that they have been working on in-game lighting and character artwork, making a few changes to improve the game’s signature look. A few new gameplay features have also been added in the form of Stigma Grids, which will let players customize a given character’s play style, and Break Awakening Finishers.
Cross Reverie’s story revolves around eight warriors from around the world of Xylera, each battling in a trial that grants a wish to the winner. Unfortunately, the trial has been overtaken by a strange entity known as The Shadow, who has changed the rules to create a more deadly competition for the player to fight through in turn-based combat.
