While most of the world enjoyed a simultaneous, multisystem release of Assassin’s Creed, Asia didn’t. Assassin’s Creed appeared only as an Xbox 360 game when Altaïr had his debut in Japan and Korea. Later this year the PlayStation 3 version shows up in Korea and a month later it shows up in Japan. The delay is quite odd because localized versions of Assassin’s Creed are done. For some reason Ubisoft opted to release them at a later date. Considering how well Assassin’s Creed sold in Japan it will be interesting to see if it performs better when it appears on the PlayStation 3 on January 31, 2008.
