ANA revealed the design for its Pokemon planes, which will appear as part of the 30th anniversary celebration of the Game Freak and Nintendo series and 40th anniversary of the airline. The planes also feature the new starters from Wind and Waves, the next mainline game in the franchise.
There will be three different plane designs featuring the starter Pokemon from previous and upcoming generations. The names of the planes will be Pokemon Jet Red, Pokemon Jet Green, and Pokemon Jet Blue. Fittingly, the Pokemon on each plane will correlate to the color of the type and characters. Right now, designs for two have been revealed. Pokemon Jet Red will have fire starters such as Charmander, Cyndaquil, Fuecoco, Fennekin, Litten, Pombon, Scorbunny, and Torchic. Pokemon Jet Green has Browt, Bulbasaur, Sprigatito, Snivy, Chespon, Rowlet, Grookey, Chikorita, and Turtwig. Pikachu is part of each design too.

The flight information for the planes is available on the ANA website. Pokemon Jet Green will be for international flights, and Pokemon Jet Blue will be for domestic flights. Pokemon Jet Red is, like Blue, for domestic flights, and it’ll start flying at the end of July 2026.

These planes are truly for fans of the series or monsters, as even normal items you would find on an airplane have Pokemon on them. For example, the cups and pillow covers will have Pokemon on them. Which ones depend on the plane you take, such as Pokemon Jet Green having the grass starters on them. The jingles that play during flights will also change to fit the theme. ANA will announce souvenirs and original goods featuring these designs at a later date. It will also reveal the look of the Pokemon Jet Blue in the near future.
Pokemon Wind and Waves will come out on the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027.
