Lightning is supposed to be a goddess, but she also dresses in cat suit and has salacious victory poses in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. All of these elements are unnecessary for Lightning to act as the world’s savior and are in stark contrast to her cool demeanor. Square Enix is pandering to a degree, but it’s not that bad compared to Kaku-San-Sei Million Arthur.
