Anima: Gate of Memories – The Nameless Chronicles, sequel to Anima: Gate of Memories, delves into the story of the first Anima, but from the villain’s standpoint.
Players will control an immortal known as The Nameless, a being who has taken on many roles throughout history, helping him find meaning in his endless existence. To do this, players will help him in 3D action, using high-speed attacks to carve enemies up in action reminiscent of Devil May Cry and Nier: Automata. Players will also have access to the Hand of Tanathos, which will give them a great power boost in times of need.
Players will be able to equip multiple different weapons and play-changing artifacts over the course of the game, allowing for various abilities and play styles as players work through the game’s colossal worlds. Some powers they gain over the course of play will open up new routes in old areas as well, giving players a reason to go back and re-explore past places to see what goodies and dangers may still be waiting to be found.
Anima: Gate of Memories – The Nameless Chronicles is available now on Steam, PS4, and Xbox One. The Nintendo Switch version will be available on June 29.
