Following Nintendo’s confirmation that the Animal Crossing: New Horizons aquarium event would return to Japan, the company announced it a tour would appear across the US as well. It will begin running on February 13, 2026, and 10 aquariums will take part. The full schedule isn’t available at the official site yet, however. This comes following a Switch 2 Edition and 3.0 update for the original release.

When the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Aquarium Tour is at a location, general admission tickets will cover access to special photo ops, signs at spots with Blathers’ explanations, and a Stamp Rally. My Nintendo Platinum Points can be earned by checking in at special kiosks, and patches will be available. The gift shops will also stock items inspired by the games, but not the actual title or Switch 2 systems. There will be Kapp’n standees for the first time, and on certain days people will dress up as Isabelle, K.K. Slider, and Tom Nook.

Here’s a list of all the participating aquariums in the US Animal Crossing: New Horizons event, though tour dates aren’t confirmed for any of them yet.

  • Birch Aquarium in La Jolla, California
  • Sea Life Arizona Aquarium in Tempe, Arizona
  • Sea Life Charlotte-Concord in Concord, North Carolina
  • Sea Life Grapevine Aquarium in Grapevine, Texas
  • Sea Life Kansas City Aquarium in Kansas City, Missouri
  • Sea Life Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota
  • Sea Life Michigan Aquarium in Auburn Hills, Michigan
  • Sea Life New Jersey Aquarium in East Rutherford, New Jersey
  • Sea Life Orlando Aquarium in Orlando, Florida

As for the Japanese branch of the event, that will take place at Sea Life Nagoya. That involves exclusive merchandise, special employee uniforms, and a quiz.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available for the Switch, and the Switch 2 Edition update is live as well.
