Animal Crossing: New Horizons April 2021 Update Adds New Items

Nintendo announced the next Animal Crossing: New Horizons update will appear on April 28, 2021. When it does, there will be a mix of updated old events and new items added. Three minor holidays and events will have some new elements to them. Meanwhile, new Able Sisters and Nook Shopping items will be sold.

The three returning events are International Museum Day, May Day, and Wedding Season. The International Museum Day and Wedding Season event screenshots seem to suggest a new Art Gallery series of stamps to acquire and perhaps new wedding furniture.

Here are the dates for those activities.

  • April 29, 2021-May 7, 2021: May Day
  • May 18-31, 2021: International Museum Day
  • June 1-30, 2021: Wedding Season

As for the new clothing and furniture in the April 2021 Animal Crossing: New Horizons update, they tend to follow themes. As part of the Wedding Season event, there will be wedding-related items available at the Able Sisters. A Tsunokakushi was one of the items shown. Nook Shopping’s Seasonal section will also sell items like a Nuptial Bell, Nuptial Doorplate, and Nuptial Ring Pillow. There will also be May and June 2021 seasonal items inspired by Cheese Rolling and Mother’s Day, and a screenshot showed Festival Zhongzi and Thank-you Dad items.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available for the Nintendo Switch. Its next update will arrive on April 28, 2021.
