People who enjoy drafting letters to their neighbors will have options in the Nintendo Switch installment. It turns out there is Animal Crossing: New Horizons keyboard support. This means people don’t have to resort to the touch screen or selecting characters one by one to draft out various responses. [Thanks, GameXplain!]
It isn’t too difficult to get a real Animal Crossing: New Horizons keyboard set up. You do need to have a standard Nintendo Switch model, and not a Lite one. It also means playing with the system docked, rather than in handheld mode. You take any USB keyboard and plug it into the Nintendo Switch dock’s USB port. (Just like you would with any wired controller for the system.) This is an alternative to options like the Nintendo Switch Online app.
Here’s the video showing how someone can use Nintendo Switch keyboard support to type immediate messages in the game.
As for other Animal Crossing: New Horizons details, a lot of things have been discovered now that the game is actually playable. For example, one of the first things you will get as a gift is a copy of your real-world Nintendo Switch.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available for the Nintendo Switch.
