The Animal Crossing: New Horizons 1.5.0 patch notes have appeared! While we already knew September 30, 2020 would bring with it a fall update that would add Halloween elements to the game, the notes offer more insight on some of the other quality of life additions coming to the game. Specifically, we know how the Dream Island feature has been improved and have a new Nook Shopping feature.

The dream islands option makes it easier to keep up with others’ places. You can “favorite” islands. This means they’ll stand out and be more visible as ones you like, rather than be an item in a list. Which is the other new feature, as you can see where you’ve been.

With Nook Shopping, it’s about more clarity. Sometimes, there are certain seasonal or special items where you can see them in your catalog for collection purposes, but can’t order them. You can now choose to filter them out.

Here are the full Animal Crossing: New Horizons patch notes for 1.5.0, from Nintendo Support.

General updates

  • A new seasonal event, Halloween, has been added.
  • Pumpkins (produce item) and DIY projects that use pumpkins have been added.
  • Added new features for visiting dream islands with Luna: the ability to choose your destination from a list of previously visited dream islands and the ability to favorite previously visited dream islands.
  • It is now possible to hide items that are not for sale by pressing the Y Button when viewing the catalog via Nook Shopping.

Fixed issues

Other adjustments and corrections were made to improve the game play experience.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available for the Nintendo Switch. Remember that September 30, 2020 is the last day to get the Grape Harvest Basket from Nook Shopping Seasonal section. Also, you only have until October 9, 2020 to get the Moon Rug as well.
