The Animal Crossing Direct began with some initial hints about starting your life on a deserted island. When Animal Crossing: New Horizons kicks off, you won’t be alone and will quickly have the ability to start making things your own.
When your Animal Crossing: New Horizons adventure begins, you won’t be the only one arriving on the island. As the trailer revealed, two villagers will also arrive with you at the same time. (In the Animal Crossing Direct, Cherry is one of the two shown.) Once you check in at Resident Services, you are each given tents. You not only decide where your homestead is, but where the other two also set up camp.
The introduction also went over the Resident Services features. Some of the things we already knew about were it being open 24 hours, a stop to get everyday necessary items like tools and seeds, it being where you can sell items, and how you can craft things at its DIY workbench. However, as part of this introductory segment, the video confirmed that people will be able to make furniture their own. When you get into that menu, you can change the paint color for the furniture’s different parts or apply custom patterns and designs to them.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be available for the Nintendo Switch on March 20, 2020.
