We’ll see some new carrying cases for the Switch 2 based on Animal Crossing: New Horizons soon, as Max Games announced two are in the works. These will both show up in Japan in early August 2026 alongside a themed card case. The hard fabric EVA cases are 2,780円 (~$17) each, while the cartridge container is 1,300円 (~$8). It’s unknown if we might see them worldwide as well like we do with Hori peripherals.
In the case of the system cases, each one is a case that is designed to hold Nintendo’s newest system. The interior is soft and has a fabric flap that can hold eight Switch and Switch 2 cartridges. The gingham one is yellow with the Japanese game title Dobutsu no Mori and phrase “a carefree life” across the top and the characters Bunny, Marshall, Tom Nook, Timmy and Tommy, Isabelle, Hamlet, and Whitney below it. The plastic cartridge case that holds 24 carts has a matching design. The other case is khaki green and features Tom Nook’s face in the lower right corner.
Here’s how both the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Max Games’ Tom Nook and Gingham Check Switch 2 carrying cases and cartridge cases will look:

Quite a few Animal Crossing accessories are headed to Japan. Hori announced new controllers and accessories back in April 2026 too.
