Animal Crossing: New Horizons amiibo compatibility has been confirmed. Both the amiibo and amiibo cards will be functional in the game. People will be able to visit the Resident Services building and bring animals from these accessories into the game.

How the Animal Crossing: New Horizons amiibo will work was also shown. When you scan a toy or card, the character will head to your Campground. You could then talk to them or attempt to get them as a neighbor.

Photopia was also introduced. This is a new campground area that had Harvey, formerly of the Animal Crossing: New Leaf campground, standing outside of it. This is an island where you can set up photo shoots. You can pick which characters appear, change their clothes, arrange furniture in a scene, then take pictures with all of them.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be available on March 20, 2020.
