Any Weapon You Consider for Ayato in Genshin Impact Should Prioritize CRIT

When it comes to Genshin Impact five-stars like Ayato, there’s always one weapon considered “theirs.” However, you don’t have to spend money or saved Primogems on the Epitome Invocation for them. There are also plenty of other four and five-star weapons that can work. Especially if you’re participating in events. So odds are, you could already have a good sword for him. The key is, since his special stat is CRIT DMG, you should be playing into that by ensuring any Ayato build prioritizes both CRIT rate and DMG.

The weapon designed with Ayato in mind in Genshin Impact is the Haran Geppaku Futsu sword. It pairs perfectly with him, due to its second stat being CRIT rate. When you hit level 90 with the weapon, it should be boosted to 33%. Its Honed Flow ability also boosts all Elemental DMG, while also boosting his normal attack damage when allies and the character use Elemental Skills.

However, these other Genshin Impact swords could also work well as a weapon for Ayato.

  • The Black Sword: You can get this four-star sword from the Gnostic Hymn Battle Pass, and its second stat is CRIT rate. Its Justice ability restores health when you land a critical hit with a normal or charged attack, and normal and charged attack damage is increased.
  • Blackcliff Longsword: CRIT DMG is the second stat for this four-star sword, which you can get from the Paimon’s Bargains shop. Its Press the Advantage ability briefly boosts attack after defeating an enemy.
  • Mistsplitter Reforged: This five-star sword’s second stat is CRIT DMG, so you’ll ensure his damage when he does deal a critical hit is even higher. It also means Elemental DMG bonuses due to the Mistsplitter’s Edge passive.
  • Primordial Jade Cutter: This is another five-star sword, though it focuses on CRIT rate for the second stat. Its Protector’s Virtue increases HP while also boosting damage based on the wielder’s HP.

Out of all of them, I’d say The Black Sword and Primordial Jade Cutter are two of the best other options for Ayato.

Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices, and the Ayato rerun banner will appear until January 17, 2023.
