Anycolor Announces Nijisanji Vtubers NBA Project

Anycolor announced that 30 Nijisanji Vtubers from the Japanese and English branches will be a part of an NBA collaboration event with merchandise. The first official reveal will come on May 29, 2024, and Rakuten already has a site up confirming this is about special illustrations pairing performers with teams.

Aside from Anycolor and Rakuten confirming that this involves merchandise, there aren’t too many details about the project yet. Inui Toko, Kuzuha, Petra Gurin, Sonny Brisko, and Shu Yamino will host the first announcement at 5pm PT/8pm ET on May 29, 2024. That first stream will reveal the first three pairings with NBA teams. It might also offer the first look at some of the illustrations for the new Nijisanji merchandise.

We also know all 30 Vtubers that will be involved. Only seven are from the Japanese branch. Here’s who we can expect to see on the NBA event merchandise:

  • Alban Knox
  • Claude Clawmark
  • Doppio Dropscythe
  • Elira Pendora
  • Enna Alouette
  • Finana Ryugu
  • Fulgar Ovid
  • Fuwa Minato
  • Ike Eveland
  • Inui Toko
  • Kagami Hayato

Note that even though Alban Knox will be on hiatus in June 2024, he is noted as being part of the event. Also, judging by Victoria Brightshield’s comments after the announcement, it seems that Anycolor did not alert other talents uninvolved about the announcement.

The first announcement regarding which Nijisanji Vtubers will represent which NBA teams will be held at 5pm PT/8pm ET on May 29, 2024.
