Respawn Entertainment and Bandai Namco are teaming up for an Apex Legends and Gundam crossover that will result in both an in-game event and actual Gunpla model kits. When playing the game, people will be able to get new Wild Cards abilities based on the series, use new cosmetics, and see a new version of Broken Moon starting on March 10, 2026. In the real world, pre-orders for three different types of models will start on March 18, 2026, though Premium Bandai and Amazon don’t have listings live yet.

Once the event in-game begins, the visual makeover rolls out. Some of these will be free to see and experience. When you head out onto the map, you’ll see Wing Gundams and remains of the mechs on the field. There will also be Bit Staves and Buster Rifles present to equip. The Wild Cards named are Epyon’s Lash, Heavyarms Salvo, Zero Rebirth, and Zero Sacrifice. Competing nets you Medals for the in-game Reward Shop based on the series. Themed skins and cosmetics are also planned.

Here’s the first trailer for the crossover:

As for the Gundam model kits in the Apex Legends crossover, it seems like each gunpla will be inspired by and tied to a character. So Alter’s look is used on the RG 1/144 Gundam Epyon, Crypto’s for the RG 1/144 Freedom Gundam, and Valkyrie’s for the RG 1/144 Wing Gundam Zero EW. Prices weren’t mentioned for those. The RG 1/144 kits tend to be around six inches tall, typically are around $30-50 depending on the style, and tend to not be too intimidating if you’re a beginner.

One of the last major Apex Legends crossovers involved a Square Enix game. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth elements invaded the game in January 2024.

Apex Legends is available on the Switch, Switch 2, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices, the Gundam crossover starts on March 10, 2026, and the themed gunpla model kit pre-orders open on March 18, 2026.
