The next Arknights game will be Arknights: Endfield for PCs, Android devices, and Apple iOS devices. While still in development, this will be a new sort of tactical game. People will create a team of characters and send them on missions. It will be a real-time title, but not a tower defense game like the original. Instead, it will be more of an action-RPG that tasks people with playing strategically. Two trailers appeared alongside the Arknights: Endfield reveal. First, there is a CG trailer that establishes the expedition to Talos-II. It refers to the player character as an “Endministrator” in charge of an Engineering Center. A few of its characters show up too. The official Twitter account suggested there will be a supervisor named Perlica assigning missions. As for the gameplay trailer, it shows characters running around Talos-II. It will be possible to run and jump around the world, and another person following the player’s avatar. It doesn’t show off any combat situations. This isn’t the only Arknights spin-off on the way. An anime adaptation of the story is in development. Yostar Pictures is behind it. There’s already a first trailer available to watch. Arknights: Endfield is in development for PCs and Android and Apple iOS devices. Its website is open.
