There has been more information on the upcoming Arknights: Prelude to Dawn anime, including a new key visual and trailer. The key visual shows Amiya and the Doctor looking upwards while surrounded by the remnants of destruction. As well, the trailer teases the opening song, which will be ReoNa’s “Alive.”
At around a minute and a half, the Arknights: Prelude to Dawn trailer teases characters who will appear in the anime. It also provides a bit more information about the setting when compared to the shorter anime trailer that came out in July 2022. You can watch the third trailer below.
The website for Arknights: Prelude to Dawn has also updated to include information such as the cast and opening theme. As mentioned earlier, ReoNa’s “Alive” will be the opening. She has also previously sang the openings for Shadows House and Sword Art Online: Alicization – War of the Underworld. The Japanese cast for the game will reprise their roles for the anime as well.
The trailer introduces the conflict between Rhodes Island and the Reunion Movement. Reunion is a violent insurrection made up of people infected with “Oripathy” a disease contracted by exposure to Originium, a major power source in-game. Rhodes Island is the Doctor and Amiya’s faction, a pharmaceutical company and paramilitary organization that is researching a cure to Oripathy, and advocates for coexistence with the Infected. Characters who briefly show up include Nearl, Exusiai, and Texas. NPCs such as Mephisto and Crownslayer appear as well. Prelude to Dawn will adapt the Act 0: Hour of an Awakening story arc from the game.
Arknights: Prelude to Dawn will premiere on October 28, 2022. The Arknights game is available on mobile devices.
