As Expected, Corpse Party: Book Of Shadows Has A Macabre Opening

Don’t be fooled by the cutesy characters, Corpse Party: Book of Shadows lives up to its name. A follow up to Corpse Party: Blood Covered Repeated Fear from 5pb, this PSP horror game has seven episodes each with their own main character. Will the ghoulish Sachiko claim more victims?

Corpse Party titles have the feel of an adventure game, but Team GrisGris made it possible to explore your surroundings instead of just seeing text. New for Book of Shadows is a spiritual corruption system where horrors drain the mental state of the game’s characters. Frightened characters become paranoid and hallucinate.

Corpse Party: Book of Shadows comes out on August 4 in Japan.
