Assault Armies Has A Lost Vikings Vibe

Poland based Bloober Team is working on their first PlayStation Vita title. Assault Armies will be released in North America and Europe, but Japan gets the game first as a downloadable launch title. Kemco, makers of the WiiWare sci-fi RPG Sorcery Blade, picked up the rights to localize Assault Armies.

The game is an action puzzler where players use five kinds to move through trap filled stages. Similar to The Lost Vikings each unit has a different set of skills and you can switch characters on the fly. Soldiers attack enemies with guns and grenades. Commandos parachute from high ground and engineers build bridges.

 

Assault Armies will retail for 1,980 yen ($25) as a PlayStation Network download. Pricing for other regions has not been announced.
