Atelier Sophie and Yumia Become Warriors: Abyss Characters

Initially, Koei Tecmo only teased Atelier Ryza joining the roster of Warriors: Abyss characters in March 2025, but it turns out she’s being joined by the Atelier Sophie and Yumia. All three are available as free DLC, and there are also paid add-on costumes for the trio to buy as well. This means Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout, Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book, and Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land are all represented.

While their exact movesets weren’t detailed, we do know how they work and can see their footage in a new trailer. The three are designed to complement each other. So ideally, someone should include all three on the same team to increase the benefits from their buffs and attack styles. This doesn’t mean they don’t work well with other characters from the other Musou games. Just their movesets are ideal for each other. The official announcement suggested pairing Magoichi Saika with Yumia, for example.

Here’s the full trailer showing the Atelier Ryza, Sophie, and Yumia characters in Warriors: Abyss. After showing their official art and voice actresses, it focuses on highlighting gameplay and what their special attacks look like.

As for the two Warriors: Abyss paid DLC outfit add-ons for the Atelier Ryza, Sophie, and Yumia characters, those are the Academy Costume Set and Vacation Costume Set. Each one costs $8.99 and comes with one cosmetic for each of the characters. So the Academy ones are takes on school uniforms, while the Vacation ones are swimsuits.

Here’s how those look:

Koei Tecmo also shared a more general image going over the new patch notes.

Warriors: Abyss is available now on the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the Atelier Ryza, Sophie, and Yumia freeDLC is out.
