Atlus is doing something special to introduce each member of Persona 5’s Phantom Thieves. In addition to a trailer highlighting the actual character, they’ve been releasing videos talking with their voice actors and actresses. Last time, we looked at the protagonist. This time, Ann Takamaki is the center of attention.
In Persona 5, Ann is a young woman who’s being bullied by her peers. They keep spreading rumors about her and an inappropriately affectionate Shujin Academy gym teacher. Even though such things would definitely take a toll on a person, Ann still remains a friendly and caring woman who would do anything to help her friends, even join the Phantom Thieves. Her persona is Carmen. (The character from Prosper Mérimée’s novella and Georges Bizet’s opera based on it, not Carmen Sandiego.)
Erika Harlacher voices Ann in Persona 5. She talks to John Hardin, Atlus’ PR Manager, about the character and game in the other new video.
Persona 5 is now available in Japan for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. It will come to North America and Europe on February 14, 2017.
