The events of the DLC are parallel to the story of P5T. In it, Joker, Akechi, and Yoshizawa are drawn into a location in the Metaverse, when they encounter Guernica, a world-famous masked street artist. In the real world, Guernica’s art represents the anger of the less fortunate.

However, in the Metaverse, Guernica acts like a different person. She is accompanied by a talking pink parrot called Jerry, and is hunting people wearing mouse costumes with paint guns. One of these people is Luca, who seems to know a lot about the situation and intends to stop Guernica from going out of control.

The battle mechanics in the Repaint Your Heart DLC are different from those of the main story of P5T. The main party in the DLC will have Joker, Akechi, and Yoshizawa. Combat revolves around using the correct environment and color of paint to attack enemies.

When characters and enemies receive damage, they paint their surroundings with their team’s color. When attacked on top of their team’s color, characters will be unable to guard. This means that Down and One More are guaranteed. The DLC will also offer Challenge Stages that unlock after beating the main story and the DLC episode.

Persona 5 Tactica will come out for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC via Steam on November 17, 2023. The Repaint Your Heart DLC will also be available on release.
