While Civilization Revolution is a Games With Gold freebie in most countries, Japan has a different game. Microsoft switched the simulation game with Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts.

We’ve seen switches like Dead Rising 2 to Resident Evil Code: Veronica and more recently Just Cause 2 replaced Sleeping Dogs. All of the changes so far have been because a game was rated CERO Z, which means its only for users 18 and older. However, this isn’t the case with Civilization Revolution.
The reason why Microsoft changed games is because Cyberfront, the publisher of Civilization Revolution in Japan, dissolved and probably do not have the rights to 2K’s game anymore.
