Bayonetta And Bayonetta 2 Will Be Removed From The European And Japanese Wii U eShops Next Week

Recommended Videos

Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 will soon no longer be available digitally on one platform in two regions. The official European and Japanese websites now has a notice announcing its delisting on it. If you look under the release date and price information, it notes that Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 Wii U eShop sales will end at 23:59 JST on September 18, 2019 and at 23:59 CEST on September 19, 2019. (Thanks, Japanese Nintendo!)

Currently, this notice only applies to the European and Japanese digital Wii U versions of Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2. There is no similar notice on Nintendo of America or PlatinumGames’ pages. However, if someone does own a Wii U and is interested in a digital copy of one or both games, it might be wise to purchase them ahead of next week.

Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 launched on the Wii U in 2014. They came to the Nintendo Switch in 2018. The original Bayonetta is also available on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
