Best Beat Saber DLC Music Packs

If you’re not playing Beat Saber on a platform that supports custom songs, you’re probably going to be hunting for the best official music packs to suit your needs after finishing the free ones. While it can come down to whether you like artists or particular songs best, there are a few add-on bundles we recommend.

Best Beat Saber Rock DLC: Linkin Park Music Pack

This is a fantastic Beat Saber DLC bundle. I’m talking about the original one, and not the newer Linkin Park x Mike Shinoda Music Pack, though that one is also great. (Maybe just buy “Numb/Encore” on its own?) But in general this add-on is filled with many of the band’s greatest hits, they all fit the tone of the game well, and it’s so much fun to go through them. It’s like even when it is super challenging on Expert, the nature of the songs and the flow of the patterns makes each one a joyful, easy track to play.

I think the especially good tracks in this pack are:

  • “Breaking the Habit”
  • “Faint”
  • “In the End”
  • “Numb”
  • “One Step Closer”
  • “Papercut”
  • “Somewhere I Belong”
  • “What I’ve Done”

Best Beat Saber Pop DLC: Lady Gaga Music Pack

I sort of like to think of the Lady Gaga Music Pack as the “easy” one. Or, at the very least, a good one for easing into a session of the game. The nature of the songs means it is really easy to find the rhythm and “beats” you need to hit, such as with songs like “Paparazzi,” “Poker Face,” and “Bad Romance.” I’m also a big fan of the “Telephone” and “Stupid Love” maps and feel like they’re really dynamic.

Best Beat Saber R&B DLC: The Weeknd Music Pack

The Weeknd songs included in the game can fall into multiple genres, but let’s go ahead and bill them as R&B here to be safe. There are a lot of tracks that are a bit mellow and smooth. Like the Expert level difficulty will absolutely challenge you. But going through it on Hard will be a pleasant, and maybe even in the case of “Die for You” or “Starboy” feel a bit relaxing. Also, “Blinding Lights,” “Can’t Feel My Face” and “Take My Breath” are all really fun to play.

Best Beat Saber Oldies DLC: Queen Music Pack

There are a lot of Beat Saber music packs that feature songs that are older tracks or genuine oldies. The Queen one is a great example! You get 11 amazing, Freddie Mercury-era tracks from the band. All of the maps for them are really good too. So it’s basically a bargain considering what you get.

Here are the most notable songs that I felt were pretty great in it:

  • “Another One Bites the Dust”
  • “Bohemian Rhapsody”
  • “Crazy Little Thing Called Love”
  • “Don’t Stop Me Now”
  • “I Want It All”
  • “Killer Queen”
  • “Somebody to Love”
  • “We are the Champions”
  • “We Will Rock You”

Best Beat Saber Top 40 DLC: Imagine Dragons Music Pack

The Imagine Dragons Music Pack is a good pick because there are so many recognizable songs in it. The band ended up being a very “commercial” one, with so many of its tracks in ads, TV shows, and movies. I still strongly identify “Radioactive,” which is in the pack, with multiple E3 visits. So for the sheer number of tracks you’re getting that were top 40 hits, it’s probably worth it.

Here are the ones offhand that are super recognizable from it:

  • “Bad Liar”
  • “Believer”
  • “It’s Time”
  • “Natural”
  • “Radioactive”
  • “Thunder”
  • “Whatever It Takes”
  • “Bones”
  • “Enemy”

Best Beat Saber Electronica DLC: Skrillex Music Pack

Electronica really pairs well with rhythm games, and the Skrillex pack picks a lot of fantastic songs. I mean, you could just get “Bangarang” as a single track from this and be fine. (I think it’s the best one in the add-on.) But a lot of the songs in this one are fantastic and tons of fun to play. (Like “Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites” or “Don’t Go.”)

Best Beat Saber DLC if You Like Dancing: TinyTAN BTS Music Pack

What’s fun about the BTS Music Pack is that it can really feel like you’re going through some choreography and dancing, rather than just swinging to hit the blocks. This is because of the directions of the notes you’ll be hitting and the placements of the walls. The “DNA,” “Fake Love,” “Idol,” and “Dynamite” tracks are great examples of this. There’s a lot of full body movement.

Best Beat Saber Music Packs to Buy Individual Tracks from: The Rolling Stones Music Pack

There are some great songs in this pack! But from what I experienced of its song maps, some of them felt a little weird? There are a few that are fine and a lot of fun, like “Sympathy for the Devil.” But maybe stick to buying only the songs you really know well and love, like “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.”
