Best Buy announced some of its stores will hold midnight launch store openings in honor of the Switch 2 The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake. This will take place on the day the game launches, which is November 5, 2026. The official page noted people will be able to buy the $69.99 game, as well as the $99.99 Pro Controller and $519.99 Switch 2 console that Nintendo created in honor of the series’ 40th anniversary.
The official site goes over which stores will be participating in the event. You can select a state in the US, then should be able to go through a list of stores to see if they will be open for the debut. That announcement also noted if someone already pre-ordered a copy of the game, the console variant, or the Pro Controller, they can adjust their order to pick it up during that midnight launch. The page didn’t note if there will be any special events or activities happening at that debut.
While the game won’t be out until the day of the midnight launch at Best Buy, the 40th anniversary The Legend of Zelda Switch 2 console and Pro Controller will appear a bit earlier. Both of those debut on October 29, 2026. Those pre-orders seem to be going quickly on various retailers, but this is a confirmation that at least Best Buy will apparently also have some on launch day.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake comes to the Switch 2 on November 5, 2026, and the Best Buy midnight launch happens at 12:00am local time on November 5, 2026 at select stores in the US. The 40th Anniversary The Legend of Zelda Switch 2 and Pro Controller debut on October 29, 2026.
