What Necromancer build should I use in the Diablo 4 early game?

While it may be tempting to dive straight into sacrificial minions and epic blood magic, the Necromancer class benefits from focusing on survivability for the first 50 levels. Even with an army of skeletons, things can quickly fall apart in dungeons and boss fights if your undead servants are destroyed.

To push through the early game, you’ll want to rely on Bone magic to deal damage to your foes while staying at a safe distance. Don’t worry, though. You will also get to turn the corpses of your enemies into a never-ending chain of explosions.

Which Necromancer Skills should I go for in Diablo IV, then?

I recommend using your Skill Points on the following Skills:

  • Bone Splinters
  • Corpse Explosion
  • Bone Storm
  • Decrepify

The following buffs and passives should be invested in to power your Skills:

Which Aspects should I use on my Necromancer build?

Aspects are crucial in Diablo 4 as they add extra perks to your build. I recommend the following:

  • Splintering Aspect: Bone Spear makes enemies hit beyond the first Vulnerable. Bone Shards pierce and deal extra damage to Vulnerable enemies.
  • Aspect of Torment: Critical Strikes with Bone Skills boost your Essence Regeneration.
  • Aspect of Shielding Storm: When Bone Storm damages an enemy, you temporarily gain a Barrier equal to a percentage of your Base Life.
  • Aspect of Frenzied Dead: When a Summoning Minions damages an enemy, they gain a temporary Attack Speed percentage.

Diablo IV is available now on the PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. If you’ve yet to upgrade your Healing Potions, here’s how.
